Phnom Penh—On 22 June 2018, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training disseminated the policy of labour sector development and first aid training to employers or owners of enterprises/ establishments in Khan Sen Sok presided over by Ms. Ly Rouzamy, deputy governor of Khan Sen Sok, representative of H.E. Governor of Board of Khan Sen Sok Governors.
This dissemination meeting was held to allow all employers to raise more precise awareness of first aid and benefits of social security schemes in a bid to promote hygiene, work safety, and working conditions, increase job opportunity, create good working environment, strengthen the implementation of social security schemes, better the livelihood of worker, urge the national economic growth, and strengthen the reinforcement of laws and legal instruments in relation to labour sector.
In this dissemination of the labour sector development policy, the team prepared the following significant documents to give presentation to employers and workers:
- Hygiene and work safety
- Working conditions
- Procedures of addressing complaint, strike, and demonstration
- Benefits of social security schemes and safety of worker’s commuting means.
Based on the report of trimester 1 in 2018, the team for strengthening the policy implementation of labour sector development has disseminated at factories in capital/provinces amounted to 252 times with 51,663 participants, 45,559 females.
