Phnom Penh—In Sunday morning on 27 May 2018, Teamwork of National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training collaborated with Samdech Techo Volunteer Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) to provide general checkup and treatment to workers and citizens in Sangkat Tek Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
Besides paying a visit to workers and local citizens at the event, the teamwork disseminated the benefits of social security schemes to workers at their homes.
Mr. Yam Yuthea, official of National Social Security Fund, said that because so far the NSSF teamwork has cooperated with Samdech Techo Volunteer Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) for three times, this event is the fourth time of the collaboration with TYDA by providing general checkup and treatment to 380 patients (55 dermatitis, 50 pediatric, and 18 Ear, Nose, and Throat, ENT) and convening the ENT health dissemination to 436 families at their homes.
He added that the formal and informal workers shall receive medical care services in the health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF free of charge nationwide. They only show the NSSF membership card to the NSSF agents who are on standby ready in the health facilities in order to facilitate them to access services.
He sent a message to all workers and citizens with a view to taking care their health, eating nutritious food, being hygienic and also requested all citizens to participate in the national election to be held on 29 July 2018 in order to use their rights to elect their satisfied leader every five years.
