Phnom Penh – on Wednesday morning, 2 February 2022, having authorized from His Excellency OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), His Excellency HENG Sophannarith, Deputy Director General of NSSF and Head of Technical Working Group of SPIN Project, chaired the meeting on “Social Protection: Innovations for Informal Sector” (SPIN Project).
The whole-morning meeting focused mainly on the results of financial assessment of Mr. Jean Claude Hennicot, Expert of Financial Assessment for SPIN Project, including (1) Procedures of registration (2) Determination of contribution rate and (3) Determination of benefit packages that will be reviewed and discussed in the upcoming 4th meeting of Coordination Committee of SPIN project.
His Excellency said that SPIN Project of GRET had contributed significantly to providing both technical and financial supports to NSSF in a bid to study the feasibility of expanding social protection to workers in the informal economy and the target population including Tuk-Tuk drivers and domestic workers by working on the Web Application, Financial Assessment, Call Center Development, and Communication Campaign.
