Phnom Penh— Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Interior, highly appreciated and evaluated for relevant institution and organization that play an important role to contribute on disseminate law on road traffic safety in the meeting on annual achievement of road traffic safety in 2019 which was held on Tuesday morning, 21 January 2020 at grand hall of ministry of interior.
Samdech Krolahom said that he sincerely appreciated and highly evaluate for relevant institutes and organizations that play an important role to contribute on dissemination law on road traffic safety so far which is including the national social security fund of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training that has Road Traffic Safety Team for Worker Prevention (RTSTWP). It’s certified that RTSTWP always disseminate road traffic safety law to worker-transporting drivers especially to the workers with the aims to make them understand more clearly about road traffic safety law. It is an important activities and contributing to reduce traffic accident case to the lowest level accordingly to recommendation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo HUN SEN “today tomorrow no traffic accident”.
It’s certified that according to the report of Road Traffic Safety Team for Workers Prevention (RSTWP) of the national social security fund in 2019. In this recently there was 1556 traffic accident case that happens on the workers, it is decrease 155 case equal to 9.89% if compared to 2018.
According to the report that has been mention by Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Interior, certified that transportation is increase to 37%, which is currently the country with a total of 5,338,394 vehicles, 45,552,241 motorbikes equal to 80% and 783,173 cars equal to 17% this has made nation-wide traffic activity more traffic jams and crowded. At the same time, we observe that the number of road traffic accident in 2019 increase to 853 times equal to 26%, death victim increase to 220 equal to 12% and casualty increase to 1371 equal to 29% this is the concerned figures. Samdech Krolahom has been urging road traffic police performance with the aims to increase the implementation of road traffic safety law as well as increase the attention on commuting safety. His excellency also request to all citizens to obey the traffic laws in order to reduce and prevent the traffic accident at the lowest level.
