It’s more than 2 years since the Royal Government of Cambodia under the outstanding leadership of wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, has provided additional allowance to formal and informal postnatal workers, the NSSF member. This is a very precious gift for the Cambodian in response to the necessary demand during delivery and a national social protection policy with the aims of promoting social protection and the Cambodian population growth as well as contributing to relieving the hardship of workers.
According to the NSSF report of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, it’s certified that from 01 January 2018 until 31 December 2019, NSSF provided additional allowance amounted to approximately 57 billion riels to 142,503 postnatal workers with 143,500 newborns (Twin: 979 and Triplet: 09).
By 2019, the additional allowance of the Royal Government amounted to approximately 31 billion riels was provided to the postnatal worker through NSSF and increased about 19 percent in 2019 if compared to 2018. It shows that the Royal Government under the outstanding leadership of Samdach Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, always pays high attention to welfare and livelihood of the Cambodian especially for workers through the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training whose National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is an agency.
It’s certified that from 01 January 2018 until now, both formal and informal postnatal workers has received additional allowance of Royal Government as follows:
- One child = 400,000 riels
- Twin = 800,000 riels
- Triplet = 1,200,000 riels. This triplet will become the adopted children of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and receive 5,000,000 riels of allowance.
