Phnom Penh — On the morning of 3 March 2022, H.E. HENG Sophannarith, Deputy Director General of NSSF and the representative of H.E. OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), discussed with the representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the collection of key inputs to be included in the ADB project design in the Kingdom of Cambodia, which will be implemented in the near future.
Four important points were discussed in this meeting as follows:
1. Reviewing the progress of the ADB project design;
2. Reviewing the health financing component of cooperation on the field of social security system to be included in the Greater Mekong Subregion Border Areas Health Project for migrant population health;
3. Exchanging views on possible activities to be included in the above ADB project design in order to improve the enrolment of employees with a focus on the Special Economic Zones (SEZs), especially Banteay Meanchey Province; and
4. Discussing next steps and other tasks.
This meeting was held virtually at the Grand Meeting Room of the NSSF Headquarter with the bilateral participation of NSSF and the representatives of ADB, amounted to approximately 10 participants.
