Phnom Penh — On the afternoon of 22 March 2022 at the Grand Meeting Room of the NSSF Headquarter, H.E. HENG Sophannarith, Deputy Director General of NSSF and Head of the Technical Working Group on Social Protection: Innovations for Informal Sector (SPIN Project), led the group to participate in the webinar on “The French Social Protection System for Agricultural Sector”.
This webinar aims to present the French social protection system for agricultural sector and to analyze the Cambodian context as well as collecting key inputs to develop a strategy of farmers and agricultural workers coverage in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Be noted that GRET has been implementing the SPIN project since December 2018 to provide NSSF with technical support in expanding social security schemes to informal workers, particularly tuk-tuk drivers who are members of the Independent Democracy of Informal Economy Association (IDEA) and domestic workers who are members of the Association of Domestic Workers (ADW) in Phnom Penh.
The above webinar was co-organized by Caisse Centrale de la Mutualité Sociale Agricole (CCMSA) and the Group for Research and Technology Exchanges (GRET) in the Kingdom of Cambodia with approximately 40 participants for the period of 2 days from 22 to 23 March 2022.
