Phnom Penh — On the morning of 5 April 2022, H.E. HENG Sophannarith, Deputy Director General of NSSF and the representative of H.E. OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), led officials to attend the meeting on “Disaster Risk Financing in the Kingdom of Cambodia” related to strengthening the enabling environment for Disaster Risk Financing (Phase 2) under the Knowledge and Support Technical Assistance (KSTA).
The above meeting was organized in order to discuss the disaster and pandemic risk financing landscape in Cambodia, including policy, regulatory and supervisory frameworks and financing arrangements, the government’s response to past disasters and pandemics, funding gaps, and the fiscal consequences of past disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.
This meeting was organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) via video conferencing.
