On the occasion of presiding over the internal training course on “Social Security Scheme on Pension and Update of Technical Work” in this morning, His Excellency OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), said that over the past 10 years, NSSF has successfully launched two schemes – (1) Occupational Risk Scheme and (2) Health Care Scheme. Furthermore, NSSF plans to launch the social security scheme on Pension soon.
His Excellency Director General added that in order to launch this new scheme successfully and effectively, all NSSF officials and staff in charge had to further strengthen their capacity to disseminate more widely to the NSSF members in a bid to raise more in-depth awareness of their pension benefits in social security scheme on Pension.
Also, His Excellency Director General expressed that the wise leadership and wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, made our country full of peace, freedom, and development. More remarkably, the National Policy against COVID-19 had been issued in the right time and right direction leading to reopen the country based on the new normal, which urges and supports NSSF, single operator in charge of implementing social security schemes in Cambodia, to keep on providing its services to both formal and informal workers in accordance with the National Social Protection Policy Framework 2016-2025 of the Royal Government.
Social security scheme on Pension is a new scheme which provides monthly pension to the NSSF members who have registered in this scheme when they retire or reach at the age of 60 or more or/and have invalidity.
Social security scheme on Pension have four benefits as follows:
– Old-Age Pension
– Invalidity Pension
– Funerary Grant
– Survivors’ Pension
It is certified that the above training course is very important to build capacity and raise more awareness of the NSSF leaders, officials, and staff in response to the needs of performing their duties towards excellence and prosperity step by step in order to provide services to the NSSF members.
This training course lasted for 3 days, on 21-23 February 2022, at the Grand Meeting Room of the NSSF headquarter, Phnom Penh, with the participation of the leaders, officials, and staff of all NSSF departments as well as leaders of the 28 NSSF branches amounted to approximately 100 participants via Video Conference.
