Phnom Penh – On Tuesday afternoon, 22 February 2022, His Excellency HENG Sophannarith, Deputy Director General of NSSF and Representative of His Excellency OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), led the NSSF officials and staff to participate in the Virtual Social Security Forum of Asia &Pacific 2022, which was organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) while NSSF of Cambodia has been requesting for becoming a member of the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
His Excellency Deputy Director General certified that the above important forum focused on the detail discussion regarding key priorities and expectations for expanding the social security coverage, finance, benefits and services, as well as the analysis of the short-and-long-term impacts of COVID-19.
His Excellency Deputy Director General added that the above-mentioned forum also mainly discussed as follows:
(1) Social security in the Asia-Pacific region included: progresses, challenges and solutions;
(2) Innovations in the social security scheme management; and
(3) Strategies for achieving social security needs in the Asia-Pacific region.
It’s certified that the above-mentioned forum was organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), which lasted for 3, on 22-24 February 2022, with the participation of representatives of more than 320 social security institutions of 160 countries as the ISSA member.
