Phnom Penh – His Excellency OUK Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of NSSF, presided over the meeting on “Options of Pension Scheme Reformation for Public Employees and Work Plans on Actuarial Valuation and Investment” by stating that this pension scheme reformation for public employees and work plans on Actuarial Valuation and Investment aim at supporting the development of NSSF and the social security system in Cambodia more broadly through capacity building and knowledge transfer which will complement other ILO works on social protection.
Through these work plans on Actuarial Valuation and Investment, His Excellency Director General certified that NSSF had received three online training courses in 2021 from the International Labour Organization (ILO) related to investment of social security funds and actuarial valuation, data management for actuarial valuation, and investment strategic plan versus actuarial valuation versus financial management.
It’s certified that according to the good collaboration between NSSF and ILO and the spirit of the meeting above, ILO requested for discussing further with the NSSF team, particularly His Excellency Director General of NSSF, in order to understand the NSSF needs from ILO and approving the above-mentioned work plans and the detail work plans for the actuarial training before reaching the implementation of the above-mentioned work plans.
On such occasion, His Excellency Director General of NSSF also requested ILO for providing the consultant to prepare the detail work plans for the development of new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of modernization project phase II of NSSF.
It’s certified that the above meeting was conducted on Monday morning, 14 February 2022 at Grand Meeting Room of the NSSF Headquarter, Phnom Penh, with the presence of ILO and NSSF representatives amounted to approximately 10 participants.
