Phnom Penh—In this morning of 10 October 2019 at the NSSF grand hall, H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of Royal Government in charge as Director of NSSF of MoLVT and President of Road Traffic Safety Team for Worker Prevention (RTSTWP) in the meeting on Nine-Month Achievements in 2019 and Action Plans of RTSWP said that the road traffic accident is still the concern of the Royal Government although there is a cooperation between Road Traffic Safety Team for Worker Prevention with national and international stakeholders that play an important role in promoting road traffic safety for workers, obeying Road Traffic Law, and offering driving license exam for nine months in 2019.
His Excellency also added that in order to contribute to action plans, Road Traffic Safety for Worker, with high effectiveness, the National Social Security Fund and Stakeholders shall improve collaboration and continue dissemination of Road Traffic Law with the aim of reducing traffic accident at the lowest level.
According to the nice-month report in 2019, Road Traffic Safety Team for Worker Prevention (RTSTWP) has attained achievements as follows:
- Disseminate Road Traffic Law to workers for 243 times amounted to 16,312 participants.
- Prepare driving license exam for worker-transporting drivers for 23 times amounted to 1,216 participants—category “B”: 572 and category “D2”: 644; 1074 of whom passed—category “B”: 495 and category “D2”:579.
- Provide driving licence to worker-transporting drivers for 20 times amounted to 1262 drivers—category “B”: 545 and category “D2”: 717.
- Distribute membership cards of Health Equity Fund (HEF) to 3,056 worker-transporting drivers.
Distribute membership cards of Health Equity Fund to 878 worker-transporting drivers for 18 times.
