Malaysia— Related to the above-mentioned training course, H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, nominated Mr. Dan Hab, Technical Official of Pension Division and Representative of the National Social Security Fund of Cambodia, to attend the Executive Training Course on Pension Policy sponsored by International Training Centre (ITC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Asia-Pacific Region, United Nation Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Help Age International, and Employee Provident Fund of Malaysia.
The objectives of this training course focus on 04 main points as follows:
- To gain theoretical knowledge of key roles and other functions of Pension System.
- To study the options for different types of Pension Scheme (Contributory and Non-Contributory Schemes) and how these schemes can be integrated.
- To analyze thoroughly the case study of reforming Pension Scheme for the impact on coverage, adequacy, sustainability, and responses to Gender.
- To apply the analysis skill and knowledge to launch Pension Scheme and reform the project proposal for the context of its country.
It’s certified that this training course was participated by the ASEAN Member States, Expert of International Labour Organization (ILO), and Civil Society amounted to approximately 40 participants. Hence, this training course lasts 05 days from 05 to 09 August 2019.
