Phnom Penh—H.E. Sum Sophorn, Deputy Director of the National Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, convened the discussion meeting with representatives of 03 national hospitals in Phnom Penh.
This meeting was held on 17 January 2019 in the NSSF grand meeting room and token part by both sides amounted to approximately 40 participants.
H.E. Sum Sophorn reiterated that this meeting focuses mainly on Determination of Drugs out of Essential Drug List for Hypertension and Diabetes Types I&II for the NSSF member.
This event urged the health facilities at national and sub-national levels and private health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF to pay more attention to the provision of medical care services to the NSSF member with effectiveness and punctuality.
He also affirmed that some workers have not known precisely the procedures to access medical care services free of charge in the health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF; therefore, in a bid to better on receipt of services, please the health facilities would take more responsiveness.
Currently NSSF has signed the agreement with 1,337 health facilities—1,292 public health facilities and 45 private health facilities to ease the NSSF member to receive services effectively and punctually.
These respond to the supreme recommendations of the outstanding leadership of wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to allow all formal and informal workers to gain social protection services with the aim of promoting the welfare and livelihood of all public employees.
