Phnom Penh—On 28 August 2018, the National Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training held a discussion meeting of the inter-ministerial technical team to discuss on the registration of civil servants into the National Social Security Fund and solve the challenges of health service consumption for civil servants.
This meeting was presided over by H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Security Fund and participated by leaders, officials of ministries, relevant institutions amounted to 10 participants. H.E. Director said that today meeting held with the aim of solving the problems for civil servants after NSSF issued the membership cards for them. They are eligible to access medical care service at the public health facilities and hospitals signed agreement with NSSF free of charge and other benefits.
Meanwhile, He added that NSSF has been implementing two schemes: Occupational Risk Scheme and Health Care Scheme which consist of 1,470,128 members including 886,895 women that they are eligible to enjoy the medical care services at all the hospitals signed an agreement with NSSF and other benefits.
He continued that with the high attention of the Head of Royal Government under the outstanding leadership of the wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Labour and Vocational whose NSSF is a staff, NSSF will implement pension scheme for workers in 2019 and they will be eligible to enjoy pension when they reach old age.
