Vietnam—On 18 September 2018, Dr. Sum Sophorn, Deputy Director of the National Social Security Fund and representative of H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Security Fund, and colleagues took part in the 35th summit of ASEAN Social Security Association on the 4th Industrial Revolution and the Development of ASEAN Social Security Sectors to be held on 18-20 September 2018 in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
This meeting was opened by H.E. Vu Doc Dam, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and participated by president of ASEAN Social Security Association (ASSA), Secretaries of State, Leaders of Social Security Institutions, and representatives of ASEAN member states amounted to approximately 200 participants.
The main objectives of this meeting focus on challenges and opportunities of ASEAN Social Security Association in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Free Flow of Labour leading to the current challenges.
On such occasion, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) also received the Recognition Award on Customer Service Health Insurance Scheme from Dr. Suradej Waleeittikul, President of ASEAN Social Security Association.
It is certified that this is the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of ASEAN Social Security Association (ASSA) which consists of 19 membership institutions coming from 10 ASEAN countries.
