Phnom Penh—On 24 August 2018, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training disseminated the Labour Sector Development Policy and offered first-aid training course to employers or owners of enterprises/establishments to be held in Khan Pou Senchey presided over by Mr. Khem Sunsoda, Deputy Governor of Khan Pou Senchey, who represented the Governor of Khan Pou Senchey Board of Governors.
This dissemination meeting aims to allow all employers or owners of enterprises/establishments to raise awareness of first-aid methods and benefits of social security schemes.
On this occasion, Mr. Khem Sunsoda, Deputy Governor of Khan Pou Senchey, paid courtesy to the entire meeting and appreciated the National Social Security Fund for disseminating the social security services to all workers and staffs working in all enterprises/establishments to take more awareness of benefits of social security schemes.
Mr. Hem Sokunthearin, Deputy Director of Policy Division of the National Social Security Fund, said that currently NSSF are implementing two schemes, Occupational Risk and Health Care, and Pension Scheme will be launched in 2019 for all workers as the NSSF member in a bid to receive the same pensions as civil servants when reaching old-age.
He added that until now NSSF has registered 12,243 enterprises/establishments with 1,470,128 workers (886,895 females); they has entitlement to enjoy medical care services free of charge in all health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF and receive other benefits.
These achievements are because the Head of Royal Government under the outstanding leadership of wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, always pays high attention to the difficulty of people, particularly workers, through Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training whose NSSF is an operator.
