Phnom Penh—On Monday morning of 06 August 2018, H.E. Meng Hong, Deputy Director of the National Social Security Fund of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, presided over in the dissemination meeting on Implementation Policy of Social Security Schemes for factory administrations, shop stewards, local trade unions, and workers amounted to 56 participants at Maurea Garment Corp. situated in Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
H.E. Meng Hong said that this meeting today aims to disseminate the implementation policy of social security schemes, challenges, and in particular strengthening of benefit service provision for workers by explaining more clearly about social security schemes as follows:
- Occupational Risk refers to workplace accident, commuting accident, and occupational disease.
- Health Care is health insurance which refers to medical care, health prevention, daily allowance due to sickness or any accidents, and maternity leave that workers have entitlement to access services free of charge in 1325 health facilities nationwide signed the agreement with NSSF at any time.
- Pension will be launched in 2019.
