Phnom Penh—On Thursday of 19 July 2018, H.E. Sum Sophorn, Deputy Director of NSSF of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, in charge of Health Care Division, convened the consultation meeting with 05 national hospitals on Drug Price Setting out of the Essential Drug List for Hypertension, Diabetes, and Chemotherapy for the NSSF member; this meeting was held in Phnom Penh.
This meeting is held to discuss the better services provision for the NSSF members in 05 national hospitals signed the agreement with NSSF in a bid to allow them to access medical care services with effectiveness and punctuality. It was prepared at the NSSF central office and taken part by 40 participants including representatives of 05 national hospitals.
H.E. Sum Sophorn said that some workers have not yet understood precisely the procedures of accessing medical care services free of charge in the health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF. Therefore, he appealed the health facilities to take more responsiveness to make workers more convenient to access services.
To better the service provision for workers who are persons defined by the provisions of the labour law, currently the National Social Security Fund has signed the agreement with 1325 public and private health facilities. This collaboration is to strengthen and extend the service provision for workers with effectiveness and punctuality in conformity with the supreme recommendation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Camdodia, by requiring both formal and informal workers to gain social security services.
