Phnom Penh—H.E. Cheav Bunrith, NSSF spokesperson of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, said that from 01 January to 30 June 2018 NSSF has provided additional allowance of the Royal Government to the female workers nationwide when deliver babies totaled 28,482 with 28,550 newborns amount 11,420,000,000 riels; of these women, there are 95 and 01 delivered twins and triplet respectively.
He added that in June NSSF gave the additional allowance of the Royal Government to the female workers nationwide when deliver babies totaled 5,229 with 5,257 newborns amounted to 2,102,800,000 riels.
Currently, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has launched two schemes, Occupational Risk and Health Care, and registered 11,952 enterprises/establishments with 1,461,182 workers.
With the high attention of the Royal Government under the leadership of wisdom of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training whose NSSF is an operator, in 2019 the social security scheme on Pension will be launched with the aim of allow all workers to receive pensions after they complete all conditions of work seniority (years of service).
