Phnom Penh—The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Service Consumption between the National Social Security Fund and Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialized Bank in Cambodiana Hotel.
This signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Security Fund, and Ruan Swanepoel, Senior Director in charge of Trade, on 20 November 2017.
H.E. Ouk Samvithyea said that this singing ceremony is held in order to provide services of contribution payment and benefit reimbursement to the workers suffering from occupational risk, health care and additional allowance of the Royal Government to the female workers when they deliver a baby punctually and faster. He continued that NSSF has been extending its own coverage in compliance with the supreme recommendation of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the aim of covering the informal workers. This is a great occasion that NSSF has to collaborate with Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialized Bank to provide services to the workers better and more conveniently.
Currently, NSSF has registered 9,360 enterprises/establishments with 1,179,060 workers in total. Of these enterprises/establishments, NSSF renewed registration of 848 enterprises/ establishments with 929,506 workers and signed the agreement with 1,289 health facilities nationwide. Meanwhile, NSSF has provided benefits to 360,439 workers to access medical care services free of charge in the health facility.
